J. Travis Griffin

settingsTravis Griffin has spent his entire legal career fighting for the accused, and he’s been doing it from the inside of this firm since the beginning.
A 2012 graduate of Mercer University School of Law, Travis began clerking with Hogue & Hogue in 2011 and joined as an associate after passing the Georgia Bar later that year. He rose quickly through the ranks, becoming a named partner in 2017 and assuming the role of managing partner in 2022.
Raised in Lawrenceville and a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, Travis earned his undergraduate degree from Oglethorpe University, where he majored in philosophy and minored in classical studies. A natural leader, he served as president of both his fraternity and the campus interfraternal council. That sense of discipline and community carries through in his legal work, where his deep knowledge of Constitutional law and criminal procedure fuels a relentless, principled defense.
Travis is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys cycling, sailing, and exploring geology—though his favorite adventures are with his wife, their two children, and the family’s well-loved dog and cat.
